Actors Feature Film Collective Agreement 2012

The Australian Film Commission (AFC), the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS), Screen Producers Australia and the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) collaborated on these safety guides for the film and television industry, published in 1995. This standard contract applies to the hiring of actors for television programmes after 11 July 2016 as part of ATRRA MOU 2016, as agreed by the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) and Screen Producers Australia. This standard contract is intended for the ordering of extras and stand-ins for the production of feature films. This precedent for Artist`s Deal Memo (Television) is designed for producers who hire actors/artists in a drama/comedy series, serial drama/comedy (with the exception of Variety), sketch comedy, pilot program or individual game for the SASA TELEVISION exhibition is an agreement between the Australian Writer`s Guild (AWG) and Screen Producers Australia, which covers the agreed terms for the payment of an author`s services and the purchase of exploitation rights to the work for Australian TV series and series.
